I'm getting seeds in the mail for a Japanese Elm and I don't know what soil to use. I read it in very important to choose the right soil but I can't find out what kind of soil would be best for my Bonsai tree.

thanks

they sell seed starting mixes with vermiculite, perlite and peat. To make the seed germinate involves stratification techniques which I'm a noob at it and wouldn't attempt it again. I'd rather buy pre-bonsais or seedlings instead. Seeds just don't turn into bonsai trees for years and years. Good luck and let us know what happens!
