If you can get there you really should see the 2ND National Bonsai Exhibition June 12-13th at Monroe Community Hospital (in the exhibit halls), Rochester, NY. First held in Oct.'08 this event is a prime gathering of many of the finest bonsai in America - from private collections.
Bonsai exhibits, demonstrations, quality vendors - friends and action. NOTE - you can not bring cameras into the main hall. Admission fee $15.
ALSO in easy driving distance is Bill Valavanis' International Bonsai Arboretum in West Henrietta. To the south a bit is Hollow Creek Bonsai in Avon, NY. Terrific opportunities to view high quality bonsai and perhaps purchase some new materials and supplies.
Have a fantastic bonsai weekend.

For all you folks who were not able to attend the national exhibition this year, or even if you did, here's a recently produced video of the event.
