leaf defoliation on Chinese plum and Fukien tea

Anyone have these bonsais and experience pruning them? I would like to achieve smaller leaves on them but not too sure I should be doing anything different compared to defoliating a ficus or a maple.

I'm not a bonsai grower, but I saw that your question had been sitting here for awhile.

So I thought I would suggest that you learn to use the Search the Forum feature, which will help you access all the wealth of information that is here already.

I put into the Keyword box (that comes up when you click on Search the Forum above) defoliating fukien tea

Here's one of the links that came up, that has in it links to other info:

I did a couple searches on the Chinese plum and didn't come up with much....
