My First 'root-over-sumpin'.

Hi y'all,

I found some little pots with a bunch of little scheffs in them last week and since I've been having a lot of fun working with the scheff I got a little while back I figgered I'd buy these and play around with them. Thought about doing root-over-rock with them but haven't really come across any rocks that looked interesting. So.....

Still a little work to be done but for now I'm just gonna let em grow a bit and see what happens. I've got at least five or six little scheffs left and the mad scientist feeling is upon me. I'm thinking 'root-over-Mr. Potato Head'.

Is it a hollow plane? I have a feeling it will get crused. Can't remember the guy's name, but he has a tree growing over a stone gargoyle and it's starting to crack as the tree crushes it. Hope it doesn't crush your plane, but even then it might look even cooler.

You're referring to Nick Lenz's Maple over Gargoyle.

Just had a workshop with Nick and asked him about the tree. He had sold it to New England Bonsai and someone had stolen it from them. :?

Y'all are correct! Nicks work is what inspired me to do root-over-something-besides-rock. Even if I had the talent I could never make a living as a bonsai artist. How could you bear to sell something like the 'root-over-gargoyle'? I never could.

You're right a0c8c. If them little scheffs actually started to crush the plane that would be awesome!
