Trident Maple - how much rain is too much?

Hi,
I recently purchased a trident maple that is in a shallow pot, planted in small grain Akadama. The pot does have holes on the bottom so drainage is not a problem. I live in Indianapolis and our forecast is fairly steady rain for the next 4 days. My question is should I bring the tree in or leave it outside in the rain. I also have a couple of Chinese Elms and a Larch that I am trying to make a Phoenix Graft. Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks,
Brad

Nice Tree!!!!

I live in South Florida, and my Trident is outside all the time. It rains buckets here and I have never had a problem. Just make sure that your soil drains well, and that the pot has holes in it. Your tree should be fine.

If its a free draining soil...no problems. The particles will only absorb what they can hold. It will shed the rest and it will drain out your pot holes.

Now...you may have a fungus problem with all that rain so keep an eye open to that possibility
