Question about pruning new Chinese Elm bonsai

Just wondering if anyone out there has any helpful tips or advice on caring for my new baby. He's a Chinese Elm & think he might be 2 or 3 years old. Should I just leave him be for a few weeks & water him (of course) before I begin pruning??

Hi Scarlett! Welcome to the forum! Glad you found us; hope you find it friendly and helpful. I took the liberty of moving your post to the bonsai forum, where more people will see it, who might be able to answer your question.

In the meantime, if you could post a picture of it, that might help people give more specific advice. Instructions for posting photos are here:

And the more specific info you can give, the more helpful answer you will get (what kind of soil/ growing medium is it in, what conditions are you keeping it in, etc).
