zelkova serrata - which soil for repotting?

My zelkova serrata tree has srvived its first winter up in Yorkshire - it needs repotting - each book I read gives different advice on what soil to use.
Acadama (Japanese clay) or a mixture of 60% 'organic' & 40% grit - or theres Levingtons Bonsai Compost that claims its OK for all Bonsai trees (I have my doubts about this) - Also is it OK to repot now or should I wait untill the dormant season. When I repot by how much should I prune back the roots.

A lot of questions I know! but would value any advice from experienced growers as I'm full of conflicting information from various books!

thanks

Hi,
I think you are going to have to leave your repotting while next year now seeing it is May ,when I repot I just use 60% good potting compost mixed with 40% pea gravel and trim the roots by about a third.
