New to the art. (what kind of tree do I have?)

Hello,

I just bought my first Bonsai Tree yesterday. Here are some pictures. I don't have any info on this tree, I was hoping some of you guys would have some extra info for me.

Also I have read conflicting articles about how to water the tree. How much and how many times do you recommend, or is it totally dependent on the tree? I get the feeling that is more of an art, and you learn what your tree needs as you go. I just don't want to kill it!! ;)

Thanks in advance!

Looks like a Dwarf Juniper to me.

Lovely tree. Don't over-water it. Dig in the soil with your finger to see how damp it is. If it's wet/damp, leave it be.

Nate,

This may help you out. It's a care sheet from Greg's Bonsai House. Greg is a new member to the furums.

Its not a Nana its a Chinese juniper or shimpaku or blue mound its distinct from the Nana because of the foliage colour its more of a blue green kind of color mostly green and not yellow different tree.
