Bonsai Pots
Hi I wanted to make my own bonsai pots I'm bored and need them I already have a kiln set up for it it gets up to about cone 19 I bought some low fire clay and am ready to start work in a week or so. I just wanted to know if any one had experience in this and could give me some decent advice or just comments and suggestions. BTW its a sawdust kiln and I'll be slab building it.

Josh,
As far as I recall you are the first person here to inquire about pot making. I have no experience in this area so I can't help much. One thing I have have to offer is about he clay. You mention low fired clay. This may not be suitable for leaving pots outside during winter. I believe bonsai pots are fired at relatively high temperatures. Perhaps someone else can help or you may consider posting a similar question in the Non-Gardening Related Hoo-ha and Foo Forum
I do have this link that may be of interest if you have not already seen it.

Make sure to let us know how it goes. Pictures would be interesting as well.
