Question About a Juniper

Okay well havent been on for a year. hi everyone im back :D with new trees :P. but okay heres my question i have a new juniper just bought from the missouri botanical garden's japanese festival eh about a week ago. now my question my juniper has its normal branches but some of then look like a pasty whitish bule. is this bad? spider mites? please help ;)

I can't say that anything comes to mind right away. Can you post some pictures?

u have any recomendations for sestemic pesticide brands?

Striferitus,

Sorry I have never used any systemics. Until you identify the problem I'm not sure I would use any pesticides. I'll take a look at my reference material and see if I can find anything out. No pictures?

Striferitus,

Verify the presence of spider mites by shaking a branch over a sheet of white paper and looking for small moving specks. Another possibility might be Scale, look closely at the discolored branches with a hand lens and look for small immobile lumps that are not part of the plant. These can be difficult to pick out at first. That's about all I have for now.
