Fukien Tea Bonsai Tree

Hello,

Just got a Fukien Tea Bonsai Tree and it looks to have some white spots and patches on the leaves. Is this something I should be worried about?

Please Let me know if you can

Can you post a picture? Fukien Tea trees naturally have very small gray dots on the leaves like this...

dengstra;

You may have an aphid problem. Aphids really love the Fukien Tea. I set mine outside for the summer and within 2 days the aphids found it.

The Fukien Tea is senitive to pesticides, even Neem oil, so you'll have to go organic.

Here's what I use. Take a half of a large onion and a head of garlic. put them in a blender and blend well. Add 1 cup of water and one drop dish soap and blend some more. Put this in a jar and let sit overnight. Strain into a mister and spary your plant top and bottom. Do it again the next day. This will not hurt the plant. It just gives it a bad taste that aphids don't like. Do this outside in the shade as the solution really stinks.
