How I succeeded introducing the moss to my bonsai

I scraped the moss off with a knife, dried it out, layed it flat on the soil and watered it by fine misting the surface.
The reason for drying out the moss is so that you ensure it abbsorbs all the water you give it.
Every now and then, I press the top of the moss down to keep it compact and to make sure it absorbs water.

Most people say that it takes years for this, but I found it worked within 3-4 weeks.

The problem with adding moss to the soil comes if the bonsai is an indoor tree. Outdoor type bonsai are easier to work with when it comes to moss.

I've not had the pleasure of owning an outdoor bonsai, I'm just talking about indoor - it seemed easy for me.

Organic mixes indoors help a whole lot.
