Dead Moss

Thanks for the answers to my last posting on locating tools. My next question is something new which I just noticed. The little bit of moss around the trunk of my trees are dead, well the Juniper one is dead and the Ficus one seems to be going. Am I watering too much? Any ideas??
Thanks.

Maybe. Chemical fertilizers? Moss don't like those much....

Best way to deal with chlorinated water is to fill a bucket with the chlorinated tap water and just let it sit outside for a couple of hours. The Chlorine is quite volatile and will evaporate.
