Yellow leaves on Chinese Elm

I understand my Chinese Elm leaves are turning yellow because I just got it, and it is adapting. It's about 10% yellowed. Can I remove the yellow leaves just for appearance, or should I just leave nature alone?

A little plucking won't hurt and may help. Have at it...
