How often should I fertilize my bonsai azalea? (I'm new)

Hey everyone, I'm new to bonsais,
How often do I fertilizer my bonsai plant with slow release fertilizer!?
I'm not quite sure on how often I do this?
It's the last month in summer here (Australia), I have a 2yr old Azalea Bonsai. Do I feed it once a week or what? with a little bit of pellet slow release fertilizer on the top of the pot?

Thanks

Don't like the slow release except as a very light soil additive. Organic fertilizers are best in season; pressed rape seed is the traditional way, but blood meal, fish or seaweed emulsion, or watering with compost tea are all good ways to fertilize. Twice a month is good for these types (half that if you can't wean yourself off ammonia salts), but you should be backing off fertilizers already to harden of growth for winter (Not sure of your zone, but pushing growth year-round is not a good idea for any plant).

Bone meal is a good organic to set your plant up for winter; it concentrates on the roots...THAT is a fertilization that makes sense this time of year...
