Gardenia bonsai

I have had the bonsai nearly a month and now the leaves are falling off. I just don't know what I'm doing wrong. Have tried to curtail the watering, but then it seems to need water. I mist and humidfy. Help!

Gardenias are notoriously fussy. Here's a site with great info on the plant; I suspect light issues, but like I said, they're fussy...

Thanks for the advice. It might be the light so I'm going to try another source. The problem is most of our heat vents are right under the windows so perhaps that is also causing a problem.

You betcha it might. Humidityand light are the keys to this one, and hot dry drafts are not gonna help. I recommend a full spectrum grow light; expensive but you're fooling yourself with anything else (You are most certainly not fooling the tree...).

I have a gro light so I started to use that and turned off the vent. I really hope the bonsai will recover and thanks for the advice.
