New Bonsai owner

Howdy,

I just got my boy friend a bonsai for our anniversary. He lives in Pheonix and he told me that the leaves are falling off. The tree is indoors.

Since Pheonix is so dry should he get a humidifier? What about the strength of the sun?

If we can get pictures and/or the name of the Bonsai we can be most helpful
There are so many different types of trees/bushes used in Bonsai. Some types need special care to help them thrive.

IF the tree arrived healthy, the most likely suspect to start dropping leaves so rapidly is Ficus. However, as stated in the prior post, there are SO many species available, no advice will be prudent to offer without an id.
