dying/dead juniper

Ok, I realize that I'm probably beating a dead bonsai , but I really want to save this little tree. Here are some pictures that took today. (I know that the quality is TERRIBLE, so I put a picture of my healthy plant so it's easier to see how unhealthy a shade of green the juniper is. By the way if anybody knows what kind of plant the healthy one is, please let me know. The card that came with it said Cypress, but I dunno.) As you can (hopefully) see the juniper's branches are still flexible and can bend.

It is indeed a Cypress, although which kind I cannot say. Just in case you didn't know this, both Cypress trees and junipers are strictly outdoor plats, and they cannot be kept inside for over a few days out of the year. If you kept the juniper inside, that would probably be the culprit for why it looks the way it does. Not saying you did, but just so you know.

Uhh, god, I am soo tired of getting the wrong info. The care card that came with the cypress said it was from the mediterranean and needed to stay inside...and that's what I was going to do! And yah, I did keep my juniper inside. The little book that came in it kit said that since being in a pot is an artificial enviroment, and that it needed to be kept inside in the winter for 5-10 yrs, until it's strong enough to stay out all year. It wasn't until a few months ago that I noticed it was dying and went on the internet and found out what was wrong.

Anyway, thanks...You saved my cypress from dying a slow death!

Sorry about your juniper. Now, as for the Cypress, you may, depending on how cold it gets where you live, need to provide it with winter protection, seeing as it is from the mediterranean, and even though they do have a winter there, it doesn't often get well below freezing. My recommendation is if it snows where you live, to cover the tree with snow, as snow acts as a great insulator and would protect it from frigid wind blasts.
