I have a Jade plant which is a nice adition to my Bonsai grouping. It has suddenly started dropping leaves. It shows some new leaf activity but the rop rate is severe.
Any advice

Probaly a water issue; this plant has a tendency to drop leaves when it is underwatered. It likes to be evenly moist throughout the growing season, but as winter comes on it's best to let the soil dry (surface dry, not the whole soil profile) between waterings.
Mealy bugs are a common problem here; check the nodes (where leaves connect to stems) for cottony growths. If that's the case I would remove them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol, and keep an eye out for the next brood in a week or two...
