Bonsai seems to be dying

I purchased a Juniper from a vendor on the street. He seemed very
legit, and the plant looked healthy. However, I have noticed it seems
to be drying up, the "leaves" are hardening, and beginning to turn brown.
Do these plants change due to the fall season? I have it indoors, but open
the windows and have it in the sunlight... I thought that would be alright.
I live in the country with cats, skunks, raccoons, birds, cows, deer,...bees,
too ... and did not want to put it outside. I purchase a larger container...thinking I may need to re-pot. Am I on the right track. I am
an amater at this. My other junipers, much younger, seem to be doing well. I was told this one is about 35 years old. I do not want to lose it.
Thank you for your help.

padrecito,

The vast majority of experienced growers would never attempt to cultivate Junipers indoors. Can you post some pictures of the tree? Be aware that Junipers are slow to show distress and often by the time they do they are in serious trouble.
