spiders on azalea

I was checking my azalea bonsai and discovered some webbing on the branches. I recently had a spider mite issue that basically killed my sarissa before I realized what the problem was so I am very aware of
any signs that the problem has returned. I loked closely at the webs and they didn't appear to be the mites and the tree seems very healthy. I saw the spider that is making the webs and it is a very small one not a mite thank goodness! My question is, should I leave him alone because I am wondering if he will protect the tree from other pests or will he be a problem for the tree? Any advice would be most appreciated, thank you and God bless, Brian.

I would let him be. Not only because I like spiders, but he will do no harm to the plan, and as you said, may even eat the harmful ones.

I personally am not a big fan of spiders but I do realize that everything has a function and maybe we will become friends, so he lives, thanks for the advice, Brian. :D
