Hi there,
I have a tall umbrella tree in my office. Its about 10 years old now. A couple of weeks ago it got left out for a night. Normally we would not leave the tree outside at this time because its still frosty.
Well a day or so later the leaves were black. Now almost every branch has fallen off of it. Is there anything I can do to get new growth on this tree? Or is it history? It has sentimental value I would really love to save it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a bunch

Those "branches" are just petioles, or leaf stems (when the leaves die they would go quickly...)
Haul it back in and wait it out. Even jungles get occasional frost; it's one of Nature's pruning methods. Should leaf back out unless it got zapped hard (20's or less...)

Thank you soooo much!!!!
You know, the main branches are still green, so I was hoping that if I pruned back the dead stems, it might get new foliage. And no, it wasn't 20 or below. Thanks, there is still hope for it yet.
