Right! Now that I have a garden, I must defend it!

My poor plants seem to have some sort of blight on them. Any ideas on how best to combat this mystery (to me it is) illness? The nearby roses have blackspot on them (that's another question), but this looks different.

thanks very much folks, I greatly appreciate it!

P.S. these flowers have a little pink on them, any ideas on how I could bring out that color more?

I believe you can try a fungicide. There is a recipe using milk but not sure what the ratio to water is. You could try the search feature... Confused

Hydrangeas like a high Ph balance; acidic soil which in turn affects the color of the flowers. Not certain of the details. Try checking under the hydrangea forum; maybe you can learn more there.

Sorry not more details. Sad

The ratio is usually given as 1: 10 milk: water. You want organic milk with live lactobacillus, or it could be yoghurt or sour cream... But someone else posted here that for severe cases you can use any where up to 50:50.
