Hey fellow Gardeners! I'm from southeastern Pennsylvania USA. I'm a senior in high school. this summer I did my senior project for school by growing a vegetable garden and I think I could learn more about gardening here than wondering about stuff all the time so *poof* here I am!
I'm interested in majoring in Plant sciences and biotech in college. I'm very fond of trees and i love to grow peppers and tomatoes. I hope i'll be able to contribute to this site

Lynna, welcome to the forum! I certainly wish I had been as wise as you when I was your age and got started seriously gardening. However, my husband and I have made up for a late start for the past 38 years. You'll find that no matter how old you get, there is always something new to learn or try in gardening.
Trees interest you? You ought to see some of the specimens we have here in Texas! _________________ Gardening at Red Gate Farm www.rgf-tx.com |

Thanks Kisal and Marlingardener!
Marlingardener, yes I was influenced into gardening by my grandfather. He started teaching me things when I was younger and I realised I enjoyed it in biology class in 10th grade. As for trees, i've only been to Texas once, and I wasn't into this then... I did however go to New orleans this summer and I was surprised at the differences in Oak trees and Sycamore Trees from up north. I like to draw the leaves in a little notebook of mine and write what I think they are... |

Welcome Lynna. If you like trees, check out the Bonsai section. They are trees you can play with! Woot! _________________ Mars Hall, Hardiness Zone 6
