bonsai rooting hormone and hazards

Hello,

I probably guess there are many people who wants to try the cutting of a tree, and make roots with it with some magic chemical.

I am one of them. I bought something that is supposedly a `rooting hormone` and right before I was going to open the bottle, I wanted to search on the internet about any hazards and dangers. Because the bottle says clearly `do not use at home` and also indicates it is `poisonous` - well so I did some research on the net, and decided to ask on this forum - just in case it is some kind of nasty chemical. I did not open the bottle yet.

The bottle says `Torusei Tonik` and
The active indigrient is 1+2+3 g/l Sodium Penta-Ortho-Para nitroguaiacolate

This also seems concentrated. The recomended dosage is like 10-60ml per 100Liters of water.

any ideas / help / recomendations greatly appreciated.

best,

J.B.

bud I wouldn't put that stuff anywhere near my trees -just the fact that it has to be so diluted +the [DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME] warning should put u off for life.....

IMHO, rooting powder is easier to use than liquid. Look for Rootone root hormone powder. It also has a fungicide that will protect the new roots.
