A Chemical Reaction...The Movie

Two old and dear friends are working on a film that I think will change the whole ballgame in the States. Titled A Chemical Reaction, it tells the story of how one committed woman changed the way the entire country of Canada views and uses chemicals. This movement, centered around one little town called Hudson, has had far reaching implications in Canada, and has raised the debate to the point where Home Depot Canada has voluntarily pulled chemical pesticides from the shelf! Seems our northeren neighbors are once again a little more enlightened than we...

Kudos to Brett and Paul for taking this story to U.S. streets; heaven knows we need it... I am proud to call them friends and co-workers and even prouder of what they are doing. Go get 'em, boys!

You need another option. I haven't been in a theater since "Star Trek The Motion Picture" circa 1980. I will however watch the movie when it comes to HBO or Starz etc and if it's in HD. If it's not HD I'll watch it on the boat because we don't have an HD set there yet. Could you put in a "C" to that effect?

Scott,

Thank you for passing the info on about "A Chemical Reaction"! The website lists the public screening for September in Toronto. Do you know when it will be available in the U.S.?

I do agree with you about our northern neighbors...

Now...on to passing this info on to my family and friends!

Coming soon to DVD, I'm sure, Charlie...

Cherlynn, I will be talking to Paul this week, and will inquire about U.S.dates; I know they are planning to do the festival circuit, so look there and if it catches, it should be in stores soon... :D

I have just finished watching "One Man, One Cow, One Planet". It was quite interesting and informative! Thank you, Buddy! Has anyone seen "EDITED - PLEASE REPORT THIS POST"? It is also quite informative. I can't find it online, but the trailer is at the following link:

It is good to see people becoming more informed...I am thankful for those who share their wisdom.

Hi cherlynn,
Vandana Shiva is mentioned in the latest National Geographic magazine in an article about the Global Food Crisis. It discusses pressure on the world food supply, as well as the phenomenon where increasing food production spurs population growth which then increases demand for more food which in turn spurs more population growth. It also touches on soil depletion, how these high production chemical techniques are being exported to Africa and other issues. A good read.

Really enjoyed this buddy, thanks
thought id add another short video that I enjoyed
https://www.sundancechannel.com/films/500205223
its called FRIDAYS AT THE FARM, it comes on the sundance channel…. real short but a great video on how a organic farm can produce healthy crops with out the help of pesticides or chemicals. If I remember correctly, all they use is nothing but green manures and compost top dressing for fertilizing and beneficial insects for regulating pest.
