Urgent: what to cover tonight???
The low tonight is supposed to be in the mid-to-low 30's at my home. I have newly planted Siberian Iris, Alstroemeria, and Aster, plus established Asiatic lilies. I know I need to cover the Alstrormeria, but what about the others? The Asiatic lilies have buds just about ready to burst, one Siberian Iris has a tight, but colored, bud.

oh no you didn’t get answers? I’m finally going to bed after working all evening with DDs on signage for a Mother’s Day motor parade at my mom’s care facility tomorrow.
If they are newly planted I would have covered them all with sheets, floating covers, buckets, anything. Good luck! What a crazy weather.

Thanks, applestar. I went conservative and covered the whole front bed (Asiatic and Peruvian lilies, with the latter newly planted), the aster, and the one Siberian iris with a bud. Everything made it and the iris bud popped a few days later, so all is well. It actually didn't get quite as cold as predicted, with the temp bottoming out just below 40.
