Hi everyone I'm new to this site and not sure where I'm suppose to post my question but thought I would start here. I live in northeastern Iowa and all of my hostas are turning yellow and brown, can anyone tell me what this is from and what I should do? They are several years old and this is the first year they have done this. We had a lot of rain earlier this spring and I'm wondering if that is what's making them do this. Thanks for any replies I get.

Did anything change from last year to this? I'm thinking things like a tree coming down that lets more light on it. To me, it looks kind of sun scalded. It doesn't really look like over - watering, more dried out. If the new leaves are coming out all right in the center, then your plant is all right. If there was a late freeze in the spring that burned the leaves, sometimes they can look OK for awhile but then not be able to cope with summer sun/wind. Did you fertiize? Too much synthetic fertilizer, like Miracle Gro, can burn them also.
