Pussy Willow

The Pussy Willow is in full bloom and the bees are all over it. Good early pollen source. None of the fruit trees have bloomed yet.

Wow: that's early compared to other trees! What temperature is it where you live? Don't know much about those trees as not much grow where I live, but I heard that they bloom a lot earlier than others.

I guess it's time to add some branches to a bouquette? :D

The plum tree is blooming, and the apples have not bloomed yet, so yes the pussy willow is certainly an early bloomer. If you take some willow shoots, cuttings, and put them in a bucket of water they sometimes send out roots, then you can go plant them.

Overcast and 47 degrees. There is a plum tree blooming and a few dandelions, but its not warm enough for the bees to fly, so no bees on the blossoms.

Its been a little cool here. This morning at 8:25 its 44 degrees and sunny. The bees won't fly until it gets a bit over 50 degrees.
