Cucumber Varieties

I thought it might be fun to have a photo gallery of different varieties of cucumbers.

I'm growing three varieties this year. H-19 Little Leaf, Pickarow, and saved seeds from Shintokiwa which may or may not grow true. All three were planted around the same time.

So far, H-19, a Parthenocarpic variety, was the first to start producing, followed by Pickarow which is a pickler from a packet I picked up at Agway. I think Agway varieties are generally market varieties. Shintokiwa is growing HUGE, all the at the top of the 6 ft trellis and leaves bigger than my face.... Female blossoms finally started appearing and blooming, but still hasn't grown a harvestable fruit. :?

This year we grew English Long Cukes. I like to harvest them while they are still small, as the taste is a lot better that way in my opinion.

And we also grew Pickling Cukes this year as well. We don't pickle them though  they are too delish!
