I'm happy with how my garden is turning out so far, considering I wanted it low-maintenance and minimal spending.
Apache yellow and cayenetta peppers:
Fanfare cukes, a bush type. Brandywine toms. Don't ask me why I put them in a container.
Basil and my Big Beef toms. There's a Big Bertha pepper behind the basil, which was dumb because now it doesn't get as much light. It looks healthy, though, and it's bearing fruit, so I guess it's okay.
The first success! Turnip and sauteed greens for dinner!
The view. That was taken in April.
The cucumber ('Fanfare') is taller than me now. The first brandywine tomato is ripening.
'Cayennetta' and 'Apache' peppers. I picked a dozen Apaches two days ago and there are a bunch of ripe ones again already. The Cayennettas are finally ripening, too.
'Big beef' maters ... I'm going to taste my first ripe one later today!
