Brown/Dying Canes on Newly Planted Hybrid Tea Rose

I just planted a Grade 1.5 Hybrid Tea Rose bush about a week ago. I soaked the roots for a few days (I had planted 3 hybrid tea rose bushes, and two of the three appears to be doing good.)

I noticed after planting, that the end of the canes had a sap like residue from where they where pruned from the greenhouse/nursery.

Now, those parts are starting to turn dark brown and appear to be dying...

Here is a photo of the bush... What should I do? Immediately prune the dying parts of the bush?

Thanks! When I purchased it, I didn't know what to look for, but did all of my research AFTER purchase, instead of before purchase and I could have purchased a different one. I'll cut the canes down to new growth.
