I Need Licensing or Permission to Sell Heirloom Roses?
I would like to try and sell own root roses to garden centers and/or at farmers markets and such places. I have played around with rooting cuttings for a few years now and feel very confident in my methods of doing so. How do I get permission or licensed to sell patented varieties? And do I need some sort of license to propagate and sell roses over 30 years old?
I am not a lawyer.
patents are registered through:
https://www.uspto.gov/
you should be able to find out, given some information about "the patent" - whether or not it is still active / in-force.
if the patent is still in force, that site should provide the legal contact point for licensing the patent.
