Hi all,
for the last month something has been cutting out parts of the leaves of my rose (see picture), chillis and a few other plants - I imagine it is some type of leaf cutter which can fly? Any tips on how to reduce the incidence would be much appreciated
I live on the 3rd floor of an apartment in central Budapest, Hungary - the weather is currently 77F, district is almost devoid of greenery!

I can't really help. Like you said, probably a leaf cutter of some kind (all those perfect rounds!). But if there isn't much other greenery around, you probably have made it very happy!
Bad news: most leaf cutters are pretty difficult to control. Good news: you don't really have to. As long as the damage stays at the level it is, it is only a cosmetic problem. Plants have plenty of extra leaf surface, way more than they really need. So they can share some and still be fine.
