Help ID Tree Please

Any idea what this tree is?

It's got smooth gray bark and is growing in the Chicago area. I think it would probably be easy to identify when it produces seeds, but none have appeared yet.

Thank you.

Id of plants is best if you have a leaf, a flower, and a seed. A picture of the whole tree might help as well.

Thanks, yes, I know. Unfortunately it is too early in the year for flowers or seeds. I'm pretty sure I could identify this tree if I waited till then, but I thought someone here just might know what it is offhand. Thanks.
