Poisonous Trifecta? >> poison ivy pics
Hey guys, my name's Jake. And I'm hoping someone can help me out with something: My friend and I took a small job cleaning up a flower bed for his fiance's boss here recently. We thought it would be a simple, straight forward task; pull the weeds, trim the flowers/shrubs, remove the clutter, and lay down fresh pinestraw. So we started it on a Friday morning, but had something come up, and we ended up having to leave it half finished over the weekend. During said weekend, we both broke out with rashes all over our arms. My buddy's reaction was much more severe than mine, spreading from his wrist up to his shoulder, close to his neck. There were several moments we considered going to a hospital. For over a week, it continued to spread and progressively get worse. So we went back to the property a week later to check out the bed, and couldn't believe what we were seeing. So I took some pictures, and I'm going to attach a couple to this post. Will someone please take a close look and tell me if I'm really seeing what I think I am? We're located in middle Georgia, by the way. Thanks for reading, hope to get some responses/answers soon. Have a good one.
Yeah, we recognized the Ivy, but does the small, thin bladed plant look like it could be sumac? My friend is convinced it is, although I'm not entirely sure. The taller one kinda looks like oak, but also not too sure about that... Wouldn't it be extremely rare to have all three growing together in the same garden?

Here's a link to id'g them. https://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and- ... mac-leaves Sumac is not thin bladed. I can't see anything in your pix that looks like poison oak or sumac. It would be nearly impossible to have them together. Poison oak is pretty much limited to the west coast. Poison ivy and poison sumac could both be found in TX, but in very different locales-- sumac likes very wet, swampy areas.
I think you just got really bad cases of poison ivy. In that case do as I did. Call your doctor and get a prescription for oral prednisone (steroid). Takes care of it in a couple days. Otherwise you will be very miserable for a very long time.
