Dehydrating roasted peppers

I just harvested a bunch of peppers of various variety's. I have the idea of drying them for spice. I also have the idea of roasting them than drying them for spice, of course eating a few of the rosted peppers with my steak tonight. Yum Yum!!!

I suppose this would be possible, I know roasted peppers come out all moist. The drying time would be much more but do you see any problem with this? I do have a dehydrator.

Thanks for any advice.

my only thought is that if you're adding any oil of any kind for roasting, that could keep the dried pepper from drying to the point where it could be ground for powder...

but they're pretty wet to start with. I doubt a roasted one would necessarily need a longer drying time.
