Save yourself alot of reading and just catch them with a butterfly net.
Best trout bait you can ever use.

LOL That's a great one! My hubby laughed when I read it to him! I think I will continue with the Neem Oil and buy myself a net! Wish me luck

Good Luck.
I have caught more trout with grasshoppers than any other bait or fly.
Find a creek without rapids and just float the grasshopper like a fly.
If there is and old rock foundation on the edge of the water from a farmer's bridge that will be a hot spot.

I have seen fishermen catch grasshoppers with a fly swatter for bait.

I heard they are good to eat. Taste just like the veggies they have been eating.

Free ranging chickens will clean them up. Trouble is they also like many garden veggies. Fence the chickens out of the garden.

LOL . Dip them in chocolate or melted cheese.
If you like them crunchy freeze them and then dip in chocolate shell topping.

I live on a ranch but I only have horses, 8 of them. I just took pictures and plucked about 10 off in the few minutes I was out there. UMPH!
