Pole Beans

Last year, I believe our bean seeds were a mix of 2 types. Some were rounded pods and some were flat pods. I want to plant the round pods this year. Is that the Blue Lake kind? Thanks..Julie

Yes, flat would be the Italian type like Roma II, or perhaps like Kentucky wonder. Round is like Blue Lake. I've not had much luck with climbers, but am going to try again this year.

I have been planting Blue Lake beans for 31 years, they are round, they have no strings, they are good, you can't go wrong with Blue Lake.
