Hello!
My friend moved to a new apartment and this little guy was left behind inside on the window sill. Since every plant dies in her care, she gave it to me. It's tiny, only about 6 inches tall.
Have been doing lots of reading and researching but since this is my first bonsai, hoping to get some experienced advice!
Wondering what plant this is? A ficus is my best guess but not sure exactly which type.
I'm thinking it'll definately need a new pot!
Is it okay to do a first pruning? If so, where do you recommend the cut be?
Thanks everyone!

Hi!
It looks like a Desert Rose (Adenium).
The first one I bought died of root rot -- turns out the soil I used had these little splices of wood. I also placed it outside, which where I live is so humid it feels like an open sauna outside at least 6 months of the year. So with the rain came fungus, and root rot.
There's a lot of good info about how to water these plants, weather conditions, etc.
Hope this helps.
