The leaves look like an arborvitae. Maybe this will help. The shaping and training should be similar. BTW bonsai usually do not twist trunks. It is o.k. for potted trees but the fused twisted trunks actually shortens the life of the tree in the long run and bonsai if taken care of should last for generations.
