Can I Use Dillies in my Worm Box?

I'm not seeing my first post so let's try again....

I want to start a worm box. I wanted to get it going today if I could.

I'm on the hunt for worms, and so far I can only find night crawlers and dillies.

I have used red wigglers in my compost before and really liked the results. So I would like to get some again.

My question is if I can use dillies or not?

Would love any input! Thanks

I have not heard that term but I'm not into worm composting. A quick Google search indicated 1) this seems to be a smaller variety of nightcrawler, and 2) they do eat vegetble scraps according to one poster. I have not heard of using night crawlers in a worm bin so I can't guarantee whether it would work.

Have you tried requesting red wigglers on Freecycle or Craigslist? Other folks with worm bins might give you some.

I did do several searches but they only compared them to night crawlers. Really wanting to start my box today, I went to a local sporting goods store and was able to get some red worms! The owner said his daughter uses them in her worm box, so I was excited! Thanks for your reply!
