Anybody know the name of this German meal?

I saw this on one of the food channels.... I should have recorded it, but didn't think I would ever make it, and now, of course, I want to make it.

It has sausage, peppers, onions, potatoes, and the defining ingredient was that after it was almost all cooked, they put sugar on it and cooked it some more. I saw it on one of those shows with Andrew Zimmern. I think it was from a fair. It looked like it was cooked on a huge piece of sheet metal ( probably just for the huge cooking surface ).

I am looking for the name..... I can't even find it on the channel's website where his show is.

Thanks.

I'd just call it Dinner!

There are a lot of sausage and pepper recipes. Usually the defining ingredient is beer.

But in this case, the guys said it was the sugar. I really want to try it once.
