Lawn

I am new to this site but would like to find an answer to my lawn problem. I noticed this winter and even now, all over my lawn are little piles of fine dirt. Looks like the begining of an ant hill but it's not and everywhere there are the little hills the grass is dying. I have centipede grass and it is always so healthy and easy to maintain. Last year I had a well dug just for watering the lawn and it has a lot of iron could that have anything to do with it?

without seeing a picture of the affected area and if your sure its not ants it might be grubs or some other lawn insect that skunks ect are digging up for food causing the little piles of soil.

A pic would be nice.

Sounds like Moles or Pocket Gophers to me.
