Is it best to pick coriander seeds when green or brown?

My cilantro plants have bolted and flowered and now have lots of green coriander seeds. I wasn't sure if I should pick the coriander now while green, or wait until they turn brown? I never picked them before so not sure what to do.

If you are saving them for seeds, or for spice wait until they are brown. Do not wait too long after that. The seeds will crack open and spill their contents, unless you want it to reseed. It will probably reseed twenty feet away.

Thank you. And I know what you mean about the reseeding. I planted some in a vegetable garden a couple years ago for just the cilantro, and I still get plants popping up here and there!
