A little Basil smells good a lot of Basil is GROSS.

I cut the tops off of my basil plants and took them in the house. I cut the leaves up with sizzers I figure it will dehydrate faster cut into 1/8" strips. It made the house smell so strong with basil it made everyone sick. I got the smell on my hands and it won't wash off. I put the basil in my solar dehydrator in the yard to dry it out then I put it in my herb grinder. It still smells so strong it is about to run us out of the house. I put the ground basil in a jar with a tight lid.

I dehydrated some Oregano too the smell is not as strong as basil.

don't be nervous jumpy, basil in ordinary quantities smells wonderful. I love picking some to cook with.
