Red Garnet Amaranth

Just planted some seeds of this plant, do not know if they will germinate, but put them in a plastic container with starter mix and thank goodness it has its own lid. Misted it and put it in a warm location. If anyone knows anything about this plant, please do not hesitate to let me know some things about it, I already read that just about all of the plant is edible, my hubby got me a start and as I just said I planted some seeds. Now we wait and see how long it takes to germinate these little buggers!

It gets huge if started in the spring. It's an annual and will be too big to grow to maturity indoors. If you can keep the plants in a frost free area you should be able to get a couple weeks of leaf harvest from them but you won't get any flowers or seeds.
