My humble garden and new greenhouse (w/pix)

I found this cute little greenhouse at Big Lots for 20 bucks and picked it up. Recently I had some critters eat some of the tops of my seedlings (I think it was squirrels) but now they have a safe haven. I'm going to buy another on Friday and some more seeds. So far so good in my first garden. *fingers crossed*

Good deal! Looking good!

I might have to check and see if Big Lots in Ohio has anything similar...

You're gonna fill up fast! :) Then you'll have to get another.....then ....

Nice quote middleman. :) I have the full verse on the inside of my seed box so I remember where they came from when I open it.

Big Lots has a 30 dollar version that comes with grow lights. The lights are run by solar. Thanks for the comments y'all.

I was gonna get this same mini greenhouse. But passed on it cause I am too cheap lol. I don't really have a huge garden and don't have many starts this year either. But it looks cool. Could something like this be used exclusively to start seeds?

You would probably have to have the one with lights, if you wanted it for seed starting, even if you were using it outside.

I have often made a home made version, by wrapping a metal shelf system in plastic. I use mine for hardening off seedlings I start indoors under lights. The mini-greenhouse makes a more protected space to move them out to. So I only use it in the spring planting season, not for growing plants in all the time.
