Good Morning! I have a plant I need to identify. It looks like a fern type. Light green spikey stalks? Very soft to the touch. I don't have a pic; sorry. Kinda looks like fresh catnip. Any ideas? Thanks, Candee...

It's rare that a plant can be identified from a verbal description, unless the description is very detailed. Is there no way you can obtain a photo of the plant in question?
There are many plants that are light green in color and have leaves that, to some people, might seem "spiky", but someone else might use entirely different terms to describe them.
Is it a shrub? A tree? A plant in a small container that would fit on a windowsill? You mention catnip, so is it an herb? Does it have a noticeable scent when you crush a leaf? Does it ever flower? Could it be some type of fern or palm?
I think a photo of the plant would be a huge help here.
