Identifying a fruit tree

Hi, Please help me to identify following fruit tree. 18 years ago I planted pips from a fruit I bought at a fruit and veg shop believing it was a custard apple. Sorry I forgot to say I am living in South Africa. Only three years ago the tree(now about 12 metres high) bloomed for the first time, but discarded its tiny fruits after about three weeks. The flowers are very tiny and in "clusters' (between 1-2mm) Only last year during did three fruits stay on the branch and is currently about six months old. It is yellowish to light green and about the size of a big green apple. It has only four pips in the whole fruit --one in each quarter of the fruit.-- The flesh tastes like nothing I have tasted before -- I posted a few pictures of the leaves fruit and pips.
Please help to identify.
